We have been reading lots of folktales over the past week and half. I LOVE folktales. The last two days we have focused on tall tales, my personal favorite. We've ready about Sally Ann Whirlwind, Davey Crockett, Paul Bunyan, and John Henry to name a few.
I wanted to make something crafty, but still have the students examine the parts of a tall tale. So I created a Tall Tale Wheel. They turned out great! The kids have really loved this folktale unit!
I've uploaded the template on my TPT Site. I have also included a list of great tall tale books to read with your kiddos!
